Capital Projects and Equipment Acquisitions Program
Create a variable and fixed interest rate pools to finance (at below market rates) equipment acquisitions and public infrastructure projects by local governments.

Status:

The financing for these pools has closed in six series (1999, 2000, 2000A, 2001, 2002, and 2003), and Calcasieu Parish School Board, City of Gretna, City of Baton Rouge, Jefferson Parish, City of Slidell, Regional Transit Authority, City of Crowly, City of Sulphur, EBR Law Enforcement District, City of Zachary, City of Shreveport, City of St. Gabriel, Jefferson Parish School Board, and Livingston Parish Council have closed loans. With commitments for the original programs nearly completed, a fifth program is currently being finalized.

Public Projects Construction Finance Program
Provide low-interest interim financing for water and wastewater projects that will be permanently financed through USDA Rural Development.

Status:

The financing for this Program has been issued in two series (1999 and 2000), Grand Isle, Concordia Parish Waterworks District #1, St. Gabriel, Magnolia Water Works District 1, Vermillion Parish Water Works District 1, Town of Glenmora, Jefferson Davis Parish Water and Sewer District 1, West Vernon, St. Mary Parish Water Works District #1, and the City of Tallulah have closed loans totaling $50.85 million.
