About the Port
The 2,000 acre Port of Shreveport-Bossier is located at the head of navigation on The Red River Waterway in Northwest Louisiana, about four miles south of the city of Shreveport. An inland multi-modal transportation and distribution center, the Port infrastructure is valued in excess of $ 128 M.
The Port Transit Shed Warehouse is currently under going expansion of 60,000 square feet and has been leased by Chicago based ADS Logistics. The company will provide metals distribution and supply chain logistics for a variety of regional customers.
Expansion of the Port's rail system now provides approximately 13 miles of track within the Port system.
Recently named Vendor of the year for 2005 for both Lowe's and O'Reilly Auto Parts , Omni Specialty Packaging warehouse facility expansion of 60,000 square feet will allow Omni to continue to meet and/or exceed the service level expectations of their customers.
Trusouth Oil's construction of a manufacturing facility designed for blending, compounding, packaging and distribution of petroleum based lubricants and solvents will be in operation by the end of April with plans for expansion already being discussed.
