LCDA Issues $778,625,000 in Bonds in 2020

Executive Director, Ty E. Carlos, sent a report to members of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors' of the Louisiana Local Government Environmental Facilities and Community Development Authority (LCDA) on February 19, 2021 that included information on the 17 bond issues it closed on in 2020. Total PAR amount of the bonds issued was $779,625,000. In 2019, the LCDA closed on 15 bond issues totaling $232,830,000. 

The projects ranged in size from $300,000 for the Capital Region Planning Commission for the purchase of a new headquarters building in Baton Rouge to $543,405,000 for the East Baton Rouge Sewerage Commission Series A ($361,325,000) and Series B ($182,080,000) for refunding existing debt. 

Included in the issues were 4 projects for techincal college and higher education facilities and another (1) GOMESA issuance for St. Tammany Parish.
